Ludgero Marques, a historical figure of Portuguese business leadership and industry, has died. Marques was president of the Associação Empresarial de Portugal (AEP) for more than two decades, having left a significant mark on the Metalworking sector in Portugal.
Known as a pioneer of Portuguese industry, Ludgero Marques was one of the most relevant figures in the national business world during the 20th century. His leadership at AEP extended for over 20 years, during which he contributed to the development and modernization of the Portuguese industrial sector.
The funeral takes place this Tuesday, September 1st, in Rio Meão, a locality with which the historical business leader maintained strong ties.
