A 10-year-old boy was forgotten by his father and other companions at a service area on the A-66, near Zamora, in Spain. The father was traveling with his son and other family members when they stopped at the service area to rest or refuel.
The child was left behind at the gas station while the father and companions continued their journey. They only noticed the boy's absence when they had already traveled about 140 kilometres.
When they realized what had happened, the family returned to the location and found the boy safe. Spanish authorities were alerted to the incident, which occurred on the fast road connecting Benavente to Zamora.
The boy was not injured during the time he was alone at the service area. The case, although dramatic, ended without serious consequences for the child.
