BotCity, a Brazilian Python automation and governance platform, has achieved SOC 2 Type 2 certification, becoming one of the few companies in the sector in Brazil to reach this international information security standard. The audit report covered the year 2025, with issuance in May 2026.
The certification significantly expands the company's ability to serve organizations in highly regulated sectors such as finance, healthcare, retail, and the public sector, which require this level of attestation as a precondition for hiring technology vendors.
SOC 2 (Service Organization Control 2) is an auditing framework developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) that annually assesses an organization's internal controls across five dimensions: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.
Unlike Type 1, which only validates documented policies, Type 2 requires concrete evidence that controls operate effectively over time, representing a more rigorous level of verification.
