USA deny Tehran and state no ship collided with mines in Hormuz

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) categorically denied a report by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) that stated an oil tanker had caught fire after colliding with two naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz. According to American military authorities, the information disseminated by Iran was false.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard had stated that the incident occurred near the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most strategic shipping routes for oil transport. Iran is known for making unverified claims about incidents in the region, which has generated distrust among Western powers.

CENTCOM, responsible for American military operations in the Middle East region, classified the Iranian report as false, directly contradicting the version presented by Tehran. The Strait of Hormuz region has been the scene of recent tensions between Iran and the United States, with both countries in verbal and military confrontation.
