About 285 personal objects of French actress Brigitte Bardot will be auctioned on September 21 in Paris. The Millon auction house announced the sale to the France-Presse (AFP) agency. The collection includes straw hats, glasses, sweaters, jewelry, boots, a typewriter and other objects kept in the artist's houses in Saint-Tropez and in her Paris apartment.
Brigitte Bardot died at age 91 in December, from cancer, as revealed by her husband. The actress was buried in a simple ceremony in France, ending the life of one of the most recognized icons of world cinema.
The proceeds from the sale will go to the Brigitte Bardot Foundation and Nicolas-Jacques Charrier, the actress's only son. The lots were valued between 20 and 10 thousand euros, equivalent to approximately R$120 and R$60.3 thousand. According to the auction catalog, most of the objects will have a starting price below 100 euros.
The pieces were removed from the two houses that Bardot owned in Saint-Tropez and represent, as described in the catalog, the actress's "second life," revealing personal aspects of her daily routine beyond her artistic career.
