BYD is preparing an electric minicar for the European market, following a strategy it previously tested in Japan. The Chinese brand intends to bring to European roads a small, affordable, fully electric vehicle.
The model will be built around a compact battery, specially developed to free up internal space in the vehicle. This technological approach allows for optimizing the car's design, making it more practical for urban use.
BYD's strategy involves replicating in Europe the success achieved in the Japanese market with small-sized models. The company hopes that this affordable and sustainable offering will win over European consumers who are mindful of price and environmental impact.
