USA Rare Earth shareholders approved on Friday, at a meeting, a capital increase necessary to finance the purchase of Serra Verde Mineração, a company located in Goiás. The deal value is US$ 2.8 billion, equivalent to R$ 14.5 billion.

USA Rare Earth is an American mining company that aims to challenge China's dominance in rare earth production, a strategic sector of minerals used in advanced technologies such as electronics, renewable energy, and defense.
