Ten fire brigades in the district of Viseu will receive financial support for the acquisition of forest firefighting vehicles. This support comes within the scope of a cooperation agreement between Portugal and Timor-Leste.
Among the covered brigades are the Volunteer Firefighters of Mangualde, Canas de Senhorim, in the municipality of Nelas, and Santa Cruz da Trapa, in São Pedro do Sul. The cooperation agreement between the two countries provides for this partnership to support Portuguese fire brigades.
The support is specifically intended for the purchase of forest firefighting vehicles, essential equipment for the protection of forest areas in the district of Viseu. This cooperation between Portugal and Timor-Leste demonstrates the bonds of friendship and solidarity between the two countries.
