Spain will be the Guest of Honor at the 28th International Book Fair of São Paulo, which takes place from September 4 to 13, 2026, at Anhembi District. The Spanish pavilion will be approximately 500 m² and will feature the participation of more than 50 authors, as well as a diverse program of literature, music, photography and architecture, curated by writer Marta Sanz. With the concept "Confluences," the fair will offer more than 30 activities over the ten days, including literary encounters, workshops, exhibitions, poetic tertulias and concerts, celebrating the historical, linguistic and cultural ties between Brazil and Spain. The opening ceremony will feature the presence of Spain's Minister of Culture, Ernest Urtasun.
