SAPO Notícias31 August 2026 at 14:58

The Local Health Unit Viseu Dão-Lafões received over 17.9 million euros in funding from the Recovery and Resilience Plan for two works at Hospital de São Teotónio, in Viseu. The funds are intended for the construction of the new Mental Health Unit and the Technical Utilities building.

The new Mental Health Unit received a significant portion of this funding. The Technical Utilities building complements the investment in the region's hospital infrastructure.

This investment is part of the PRR framework, a financial instrument created for post-pandemic economic recovery in Portugal. ULS Viseu Dão-Lafões is the entity responsible for managing these works at the hospital in Viseu.
