A father forgot his son at a gas station in the city of Cáceres, in Spain, and only noticed the child's absence 140 kilometres later. The incident occurred when the family was travelling and the father, carelessly, left the location without checking if the child was inside the vehicle.
The child was left alone at the gas station until the establishment's managers alerted the Guardia Civil. Local authorities quickly intervened to ensure the minor's safety, who remained in the custody of the Guardia Civil until it was possible to return him to his family.
The son was safely delivered to his relatives, after the proper verification by Spanish authorities. The case serves as a warning about the need for parents to be vigilant during trips, especially when travelling with children.
