The network is suspected of having stolen approximately 100,000 euros in watches. The high value of the theft drew the attention of Portuguese and international authorities to the group's activity.
The case gained greater visibility due to a deadly pursuit that occurred in Lisbon. The incident was life-threatening and raised concerns about the dangerousness of the elements involved in the network.
The authorities now intend to stop any attempt by the suspects to flee, using collaboration with police forces from other countries to locate and detain those responsible for the robbery and the pursuit that resulted in death.
