Pink tones are returning to sportswear collections for spring-summer after being set aside for some seasons. This trend, called "Pink Marshmallow," gains strength at a time of significant growth in the activewear market, which is increasingly approaching everyday clothing.
According to research by Grand View Research, the global activewear market generated $440.4 billion in 2025, and the projection is for it to reach $920 billion by 2033, with estimated average annual growth of 9% between 2026 and 2033. The female audience accounted for 47.9% of sector revenues in the same period.
Among the factors cited for this expansion are increased women's participation in sports and fitness activities, as well as the growing demand for clothes that combine functionality and style both inside and outside exercise spaces.
In this growth scenario, colors follow the transformations in collections. For the new season, pink appears among the shades adopted by different sportswear brands, marking this color's return to workout looks.
