The Military Police carry out this Monday an operation in Gardênia Azul, in the Southwest Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The action aims to combat criminals involved in territory disputes in the region. The operation takes place two days after the area was the scene of violent disputes that left four dead.
Teams from the 18th BPM, responsible for the Jacarepaguá area, were mobilized to the region. So far, there is no information about arrests or seizures made during the police action.
Because of the operation, seven municipal schools suspended classes in the region.
