Support for the baking sector in Porto Santo begins tomorrow

Funchal Notícias31 August 2026 at 15:09

The Regional Government of Madeira, through the Regional Secretariat for Economy, will co-finance 90% of the maritime transport costs of raw materials destined for bread and pastry production in Porto Santo. The measure takes effect tomorrow and remains in place until the end of the year, with a maximum support of 10,000 euros per company. This initiative aims to support the baking sector on the island of Porto Santo, which faces logistical challenges due to its insular location.
