With the approaching start of the new school year, the Directorate-General for Consumer Affairs (DGC) and the European Consumer Centre issued warnings about the dangers of online shopping during the back-to-school season.
The entities warn consumers about possible traps that may arise during purchases made on the internet during this period.
The return to school is traditionally a time when families make significant expenses on school supplies, clothing and technology, becoming a prime target for deceptive commercial practices.
The Directorate-General for Consumer Affairs and the European Consumer Centre recommend vigilance to consumers when making online purchases during this season.
