The Civil Police carried out an operation on Monday against a criminal organization investigated for interstate drug and arms trafficking, with possible links to a criminal faction. Among the targets of the operation is Hayner Willian Monjardim Cordeiro, a 30-year-old right-back who belongs to Santos and is currently on loan to Vila Nova.
Hayner was born in Serra, in Espírito Santo, on October 2, 1995, and began his career in the youth ranks of Bahia. Throughout his career, the player has played for several clubs, including Náutico, Paysandu, Cuiabá, Atlético-GO, Coritiba, CRB, and Dnipro-1, from Ukraine, before arriving at Santos.
The player was signed by Santos in 2024, initially on loan from Azuriz. Subsequently, the São Paulo club acquired the definitive rights to the athlete. For the Fish, Hayner was part of the squad that won the title of Serie B of the Brazilian Championship in 2024.
The operation is the result of an investigation conducted by the Civil Police of Espírito Santo, the player's home state. Authorities have not yet released details about the specific accusations against Hayner or the progress of the operation.
