Accommodation overnight stays grew 2.2% in July in the Region

Tourist accommodation in the Region recorded the entry of 247.4 thousand guests in July this year, who generated 1,342.6 thousand overnight stays. These figures represent an increase of 0.4% in the number of guests and of 2.2% in the number of overnight stays, compared to the same period of the previous year.

The hotel segment was the one that recorded the highest number of overnight stays, representing 64.2% of the total. However, this segment experienced a decline of 0.7% year-on-year.

Local accommodation showed a positive performance, with an increase of 8.9% in the number of overnight stays. In the opposite direction, rural tourism, which represents only 2.0% of total overnight stays, recorded a decline of 6.4% year-on-year.

Exiting a franchise should be evaluated before signing

The Brazilian franchise market exceeded R$ 300 billion in annual revenue for the first time, reaching R$ 301.7 billion in 2025, with nominal growth of 10.5% compared to the previous year.
