A mass appointment scheduling for cataract surgeries begins this Tuesday (31) in Teresina. The action aims to offer ophthalmological care to the population that needs the surgical procedure.
A total of 1,400 spots will be made available for scheduling the surgeries. Interested parties should go to the Basic Health Units (UBS) in the capital to schedule an appointment.
To participate in the mass scheduling, patients need to go to the UBS with the necessary documents in hand. The initiative aims to reduce the waiting list for ophthalmological surgeries in the city.
The action is part of a strategy by the city government to expand access to eye health services, benefiting residents of Teresina who are waiting for the procedure.
