President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva expressed interest in ending the 6x1 work schedule in Brazil. This schedule provides for six days of work followed by one day off.
The proposal aims to guarantee better quality of life for Brazilian workers. With the change, the population could have more time to take care of their own lives and children.
The measure also seeks to provide more leisure time for workers. The president believes that reducing working hours can benefit society as a whole.
