The Luso-Swiss director Basil da Cunha is filming "O Jacaré", a gangster story with a reptile in the middle, which marks his farewell to the Reboleira neighborhood in Lisbon. Over the last 20 years, the filmmaker has dedicated much of his work to documenting and portraying this area of the city.
This new film represents the closing of a creative cycle for Basil da Cunha, who built a deep relationship with Reboleira through his cinematography. The neighborhood became a constant and central presence in his film work.
The premiere of "O Jacaré" is scheduled for the big screen, as is fitting for a production of this genre, and will include a party to celebrate this farewell to the universe that has marked the director's career.
