The Prosecutor's Office of Ceuta raised to 21 the number of sexual assaults recorded in the autonomous city since the massive influx of migrants that occurred on July 30 and 31. Five of these assaults involved penetration, according to the latest data provided by the Public Prosecutor's Office, which also confirmed that there were group assaults.
All victims were women or girls, with the exception of one LGTBI man. Seven of the victims were between 14 and 17 years old, which highlights the vulnerability of minors in these circumstances. The assaults allegedly occurred in the context of the migratory crisis that affected the Spanish city during that period.
Regarding the suspects, five individuals under investigation have been identified: three are of Moroccan nationality, one is Spanish and the other is Belgian. The investigation continues in order to clarify all the facts related to these crimes.
