A competition called "1st farm aura championship of Leiria" was announced on social media in Portugal for October 1st, with the venue set for the courtyard of the University of Leiria and Oeste (ULO). The event was promoted with the help of artificial intelligence and even included a form for participant registration.
The Academic Association of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (AIPLeiria) informed the Portuguese website SIC that the event "is not authorized" by the institution. The entity also stated that "has no involvement or responsibility in its organization."
AIPLeiria clarified that it is monitoring the situation and working in coordination with the School of Technology and Management direction to understand how the issue unfolds and any developments related to the announcement.
