The PSP is preparing a reinforced security operation for the derby between SC Braga and Vitória de Guimarães, for the fourth round of the I Liga. The match has been classified as a "high risk" game, which led the police to mobilize approximately 300 officers to ensure security inside and around the Municipal Stadium of Braga.
Between 15 to 17 thousand Braga fans are expected for the match, while Vitória will have approximately 1,600 supporters, who will travel to the neighboring city in 25 buses accompanied by the PSP. Upon arrival in Braga, the Vitória fans will have reserved parking near the stadium and will be directed to the west stand through a segregated route, in order to avoid contact with the home fans. The area designated for visitors will also be isolated by fencing and protected by a safety net.
The police operation includes traffic regulation on the main access roads to the stadium, as well as monitoring and escorting fans from both teams. The PSP also intends to ensure the safety of the teams and the necessary conditions for the match to take place.
Given the strong attendance expected, the PSP advises fans to arrive at the stadium early, avoiding delays and potential inconvenience. The authorities recommend that valuables not be transported and that belongings not be left inside parked vehicles. The PSP also appeals for compliance with the instructions of the security forces and Stadium Safety Officers, asking fans to maintain responsible behavior and avoid attitudes that may cause conflict or violence situations.
