The National Republican Guard (GNR) detained nine people in flagrante delicto and recorded 31 road accidents in the district of Portalegre, during the week of August 24 to 30. The balance was released by the Territorial Command of Portalegre and covers the operations carried out during that period.
The operations carried out by the GNR had as main objectives the prevention and combat of crime, as well as road surveillance in the district. Of the nine detentions made, five were for driving without a legal license, among other crimes that were not specified in the article.
During that week, 31 road accidents were also recorded in the region, which highlights the importance of surveillance actions on the roads of the Portalegre district. The Territorial Command of Portalegre is responsible for coordinating all these security and prevention operations in the area.
