This early closure affects all clubs in these competitions, which will have to finalize their signings by that date.
In Portugal, the situation is different. Portuguese clubs have more time to register new players, being able to do so until September 4. This calendar difference gives Portuguese clubs some additional flexibility compared to their rivals in the major European leagues.
The variation in market closing dates between different countries reflects decisions made by each national federation. While some leagues chose to align their calendar with the Premier League, which was a pioneer in early closure, others maintained longer deadlines for their teams.
