GDP grew 2.5% in the second quarter, confirms INE

The National Statistics Institute (INE) confirmed that Portuguese Gross Domestic Product grew 2.5% year-on-year during the second quarter. This value represents the pace of growth of the Portuguese economy compared to the same period of the previous year.

Additionally, the INE identified a quarter-on-quarter GDP acceleration of 0.8%, which indicates the economic growth recorded between the first and second quarters of this year.

The 2.5% year-on-year growth and the 0.8% quarterly acceleration demonstrate a positive performance of the Portuguese economy during the period under analysis.
