The rehabilitation and expansion works of the Valença Health Centre are currently in the final phase. The Valença local authority considers this intervention as the realization of one of the most relevant investments in the qualification of primary healthcare in the municipality.
The total investment is around 3.5 million euros, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan. The intervention includes the rehabilitation of the existing building, the construction of a new two-story building and the execution of the respective exterior landscaping.
The new Health Centre will be equipped with more modern, functional, accessible facilities, appropriate to the needs of the population and health professionals, thus strengthening the quality of healthcare in the municipality.
The intervention results from the interadministrative collaboration contract signed between the Valença City Council and the Local Health Unit of Alto Minho, under the PRR.
