The floods that affected Nepal and Tibet have already caused 919 dead and 4,793 missing, according to the latest provisional toll. In Nepal, 903 deaths and 4,247 missing are confirmed, while in Tibet, 16 deaths and 546 missing were recorded. Authorities continue to monitor the situation, although the numbers may still increase as rescue operations progress.

Search and rescue operations are ongoing in both affected regions, but they face significant difficulties. The destruction of roads and bridges has complicated emergency teams' access to the worst-affected areas, delaying the rescue of survivors and the distribution of humanitarian aid.

The floods resulted from intense seasonal rains that hit the region in recent weeks. The situation remains critical, with thousands of people displaced from their homes and dependent on humanitarian assistance to survive.
