The rescue teams continue on Monday the work to find missing people in hydroelectric plants that were flooded due to a flash flood in the districts of Rasuwa and Nuwakot, in Nepal. The search operations continue in the tunnels of the plants, where the waters caused severe flooding.
Around 900 people are believed missing in at least 12 hydroelectric plants located in these two districts of Nepal. The high number of missing people is related to the extent of the flooding that affected the infrastructure of the plants.
Local authorities and rescue teams face difficulties in accessing the underground tunnels of the plants, where conditions remain dangerous. The rescue work continues while authorities attempt to assess the full situation.
