The National Unit for Foreigners and Borders (UNEF) of the Public Security Police completed its first year of activity, having carried out approximately 700 detentions related to border control and the inspection of foreign citizens in Portugal.

The detentions recorded during this first year of activity refer specifically to issues related to border control and the situation of foreign citizens in Portugal.
