A Spanish tourist died as a result of a fire at a hotel in Fatima. The incident occurred recently, according to local authorities.
Multiple emergency services responded to the fire scene, including the volunteer firefighters from Fatima and Ourém, the National Institute of Medical Emergency, the National Republican Guard and the Judicial Police.
In total, 28 operatives and 10 vehicles were mobilized to fight the fire and provide assistance at the scene.
The authorities are investigating the causes of the fire, with the Judicial Police having taken responsibility for investigating the case.
