A "drug trafficking tribunal" formed by criminals sentenced two women accused of scams in the Risca Faca community, in the Maria Paula neighborhood, in São Gonçalo, in the Metropolitan Region of Rio. The case occurred in May and the victims were subjected to brutal punishments, including having their hair shaved, physical assaults and a humiliating walk.
The two women were taken to a densely wooded area known as "Mineirão," where they remained for hours being tortured. According to the Civil Police investigations, the torture session included beatings with sticks, punches and kicks.
The sentence was determined by Flavinho Vieira Bento, known as "Mumu do Tuiuti," a boss of the Comando Vermelho. Even while in custody at Gabriel Ferreira de Castilho Prison, known as Bangu 3, he is said to have acted as a kind of judge of the "tribunal" and watched live the execution of the punishment applied to the women.
