Almost a year after the accident that killed 16 people and injured another 24, Carris presents this Monday the solution that is being developed for the future of the Glória Elevator. The Lisbon public transport company will reveal the details of the project that aims to guarantee the safe operation of the city's iconic elevator.

The Glória Elevator, one of the most emblematic monuments in Lisbon, suffered a serious accident that resulted in 16 deaths and 24 injured. This accident led to the temporary suspension of the elevator's operation and prompted an in-depth investigation into the causes of the incident.

Carris, the company responsible for managing the elevator, has been working on a solution to ensure that the elevator can resume its operation safely. The presentation scheduled for this Monday marks an important milestone in this rehabilitation process.

The accident sparked great public attention and raised questions about the maintenance and safety of historic transportation infrastructure in Lisbon. The solution to be presented by Carris will be decisive for the future of this tourist attraction and means of transportation used daily by thousands of people.
