The death toll from floods that affected Nepal and the Tibet Autonomous Region in China has risen to 919. The flooding was caused by torrential rains that triggered landslides and flooding in several regions.
More than four thousand people remain missing following these natural disasters. Among the missing are three Portuguese citizens, whose situation is being monitored by diplomatic authorities.
Rescue operations continue in affected areas, with teams searching for survivors among the rubble and flooded areas. Local and international authorities have been working to provide humanitarian assistance to the affected populations.
