A cable theft between the stations of L'Espluga and Alcover, in Tarragona, affected the circulation of high-speed trains between Barcelona and Madrid this Monday. The incident caused delays in the services connecting the two largest Spanish cities.
Railway authorities identified the affected area in the Catalonia region, where the essential cable for the operation of the signaling and communication systems of high-speed trains was stolen.
