PRR ends this Monday with 100% execution

Observador31 August 2026 at 07:37

Portugal fully executed its Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), with the program ending this Monday with 100% execution. This conclusion represents an important milestone in the implementation of European funds destined for the country's economic recovery.

The Minister of Economy was the figure responsible for announcing this achievement. According to his explanation, to guarantee that the plan was fully executed, investments worth 101% of the total available were contracted.

This strategy of contracting above 100% proved fundamental to ensure that, even with possible withdrawals or delays on the part of some beneficiaries, the country would be able to achieve the full execution of the available funds.

With this conclusion, Portugal joins the group of countries that managed to maximize the use of resources made available by the PRR, demonstrating capacity for management and execution of projects financed by European funds.

Oil returns to 90 dollars amid new attacks between US and Iran

The latest exchange of attacks between the USA and Iran, the first in over a month, caused oil prices to rise again above 90 dollars per barrel, with Brent rising almost 2%, to 89.84 dollars. The American army attacked Iranian rocket launchers on Larak Island, in the Strait of Hormuz, allegedly when Iranian forces were preparing to launch mines in that strategic waterway. In retaliation, Iran launched missiles against US bases in Jordan, which were intercepted. Analysts from DBS Bank and Gallo Partners point out that, although a prolonged escalation is considered unlikely, tensions continue to delay the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, key to world oil traffic.
