Iran's army launched on Monday a drone attack against an American air base located in the United Arab Emirates. The attack was carried out in response to the bombing carried out by Washington against the Iranian island of Larak, which had occurred hours earlier.
According to a statement issued by the Iranian army's public relations department and distributed by Iranian news agencies, dozens of drones were fired at the base designated as "Al-Manhad" in the early hours of the morning.
The attack represents an escalation in tensions between the two countries, with Tehran responding directly and militarily to what it considers a provocation by the United States. The base in question is used by the American armed forces in the Persian Gulf region.
The Iranian authorities justified the operation as a measure of retaliation for the bombing of Larak island, suggesting that Tehran does not intend to accept aggression without a response. At this time, no information has been released about any casualties or material damage caused by the drone attack.
