Taxpayers have until this Monday to proceed with the payment of income tax for 2025 to the Tax Office. This date represents the final deadline established for compliance with this tax obligation.

If the tax office does not make the payment within the stipulated deadline, it will be subject to the return of the corresponding amount, plus interest. This condition applies to the situation where the responsibility for payment falls on the employer or on the tax office itself.

Income tax (IRS - Imposto sobre o Rendimento das Pessoas Singulares) is one of the main taxes in Portugal, applying to taxpayers' income. Timely compliance with payment deadlines is essential to avoid financial penalties.

Exiting a franchise should be evaluated before signing
