India and Uzbekistan strengthened their bilateral ties with the aim of reaching $5 billion in trade, including long-term cooperation in the uranium sector. The two governments also expanded cooperation in strategic areas such as critical minerals, defense, digital payments and transport.
A new supervision mechanism, at the level of the Foreign Ministers, was established to monitor the implementation of the agreements signed between the two countries. This mechanism aims to ensure compliance with the commitments made and the advancement of the defined partnerships.
Beyond economic and security areas, ties between India and Uzbekistan were also strengthened in education and regionally, indicating comprehensive cooperation that goes beyond the sectors traditionally prioritized in bilateral relations.
