The Macau Government announced the creation of a new fund of 11 billion patacas, equivalent to 1.17 billion euros, with the aim of diversifying the local economy.
The fund will be open to investing in foreign companies, according to Macau's executive confirmed.
The measure comes in the context of efforts to reduce Macau's dependence on the gaming sector, which has been the territory's main source of revenue.
This investment is part of a broader strategy to promote a more diversified and sustainable economy in the region.
