Mel Summers, who currently plays Vanessa as a child in the soap opera "Por você," has been confirmed to appear in "Paraíso perdido," the next Globoplay production. The young actress will share the role of Maria Cecília with Alanis Guillen, who will play the character in the adult phase.
Maria Cecília is the daughter of Werneck, played by Alexandre Nero, and sister of Heitor, a role by Juliano Floss. The character will have a romantic involvement with her brother-in-law Peixoto, played by Eduardo Sterblitch, as well as a relationship with Edgar, interpreted by Juan Paiva, who is in love with Ritinha, a character played by Larissa Bocchino.
The cast of the soap opera also includes Hermila Guedes, Clara Moneke, Ricardo Teodoro, Maicon Rodrigues, and Vilma Melo, among other actors. The plot is written by George Moura and Sergio Goldenberg and will be based on four works by playwright Nelson Rodrigues: "Bonitinha, mas ordinária," "A mulher sem pecado," "Toda nudez será castigada," and "Os sete gatinhos."
