Alcalà de Xivert bids farewell to massive festivities and passes the baton to Alcossebre

Alcalà de Xivert held the closing of its patron festivities in honor of Saint John the Baptist and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. During these days, there was a high participation from the local population and visitors, with a very intense atmosphere at each of the scheduled events. The neighbors and tourists were fully involved in these celebrations that combine tradition, devotion, and leisure. After a brief period of rest, the institutional and festive activity now moves to the coastal area, where the town of Alcossebre will take over the festive baton between September 2 and 6.
