Enrollments for Desenrola 2.0, the new version of the federal government's debt renegotiation program, end this Monday. The provisional measure establishing the program will expire without being voted on and cannot be extended. To participate in the program, people must seek out the official bank channels.
The modality aimed at families renegotiated, until the beginning of the last week of August, approximately 5.03 million debts. The debts originally totaled R$ 26.3 billion and, after the agreements, were reduced to approximately R$ 5.2 billion.
The program provides for the possibility of using part of the FGTS balance for partial amortization or settlement of renegotiated debts. Desenrola was recreated in a context of high indebtedness and elevated commitment of families with debts.
