Tax Authority Pays Today Final Batch of 2026 Income Tax Refunds

The Federal Tax Authority pays this Monday, the 31st, the fourth and final batch of Individual Income Tax refunds referring to August 2026. The batch also includes residual refunds from previous years. In total, 521,935 refunds will be paid, totaling R$ 1.2 billion. The money will be deposited into the contributor's account throughout the day.

Among the contributors included, 16,850 are elderly over 80 years old, 86,873 are between 60 and 79 years old, 9,029 are people with physical disabilities, mental disabilities, or serious illness, and 26,769 have teaching as their main source of income. An additional 338,912 contributors who used pre-filled returns and/or opted for Pix as their payment method were also prioritized.

Another 43,502 contributors without special priority are also included in this final batch. Checking the payment batch can be done directly through Federal Tax Authority channels to verify the status of the refund.
