Federica Mogherini, former head of European diplomacy, gave an interview to Diário de Notícias in which she spoke about her legacy and the current situation of multilateralism. The former High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs expressed pride in the work she carried out during her term.
Mogherini was present in Lousã, where she participated as a speaker at SummerCEmp, the summer school of the European Commission representation in Portugal. This event featured her as a special guest.
In the interview, the former European official painted a bleak picture of the current landscape, suggesting that we are currently living through the passage of the last period of functional multilateralism. This view contrasts with her apparent pride in the legacy she left in European foreign policy.
