Returning from vacation? PSP is on the roads with enforcement operations

SIC Notícias30 August 2026 at 18:13

The last Sunday of August represents for many Portuguese people the end of the vacation period. With the massive return of thousands of people to their normal activities, Portuguese roads face a significant increase in traffic.

The PSP, the Security Force responsible for enforcement on urban roads and certain roads, responded to this reality with road enforcement operations. These operations aim to control the increase in automobile traffic characteristic of this period.

The device implemented by the PSP seeks to guarantee road safety during this return period, which traditionally records a high volume of vehicles circulating on the main roads of the country.
