Maya Massafera was admitted to Hospital Sírio-Libanês in São Paulo last week after suffering a stroke. The influencer and presenter has already been discharged and is doing well. The episode occurred after a series of medical and surgical procedures performed by her in recent years.
According to information obtained by Portal LeoDias, Maya also presented cardiac changes that would be related to the use of female hormones. She has already left the hospital and no details about the exams performed or the extent of her clinical condition have been disclosed.
In June 2024, Maya needed to be under observation after fainting. At the time, SBT reported that doctors had pointed to low immunity and high stress as possible causes of the episode.
Shortly after, Maya reported a complication during a surgical procedure. The presenter has also shown the results of surgery to reduce her shoulders and revealed she spent nearly R$5 million on her gender transition.
