A 20-year-old man was detained by the Judicial Police, through the Northern Directorate, for suspected murder of his 50-year-old stepfather. The detention occurred following a homicide crime that took place during the early morning of this Sunday.
The incident took place in the parish of Vermoim, in the municipality of Maia, inside the residence where victim and suspect lived. The PJ was responsible for the investigation and subsequent detention of the young man.
The fatal victim was the suspect's stepfather, thus establishing a family relationship between both parties involved in the crime. The authorities continue to investigate the circumstances that led to this homicide.
