The Civil Police of Minas Gerais are trying to locate a 20-year-old woman who beat a 12-year-old teenager at the door of a school in Nova Lima, in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte. The suspect fled after the assaults and, according to family members heard by police, she would have gone to Ribeirão das Neves, another city in the metropolitan area of the state capital. The searches were carried out in the capital and Greater BH, but the investigated woman has not yet been found.
The case was reported last Friday. According to the police report, hours before the beating, the teenager had slapped a classmate, also 12 years old. Police revealed that the boy would be the brother of the woman under investigation.
According to information from the school, both teenagers were called to the principal's office along with their parents and guardians for a meeting about the incident. However, after the end of school activities, the girl was surprised by the woman, who waited outside the school to confront the teenager.
Images of the moment of the assault are circulating on social media and are being analyzed by police as part of the investigation. The assaulting teenager was charged with serious bodily injury against the minor.
